I have city water. Do I need chlorine removal?

If you notice taste or odor, pair a carbon filter or choose a mixed-media option that handles chlorine.

I have a private well. What about iron or sulfur?

Rust stains or rotten-egg smell indicate iron or hydrogen sulfide. Add iron or sulfur filtration before the softener for best results.

What maintenance is required?
